Here is my lighting analysis of three images from three different thriller films. lighting is often used within films in order to create specific emotions and also reactions from the audience as well as to suggest the importance of specific characters, and the emotions they to are experiancing.

what is it about thriller movies that you like so much?
I love all thriller films for many reasons, although I would have to say the reason as to why it is my all-time favourite film genre would simply have to be because of the anticipation and excitement it causes while I’m watching it. Whilst watching thriller films the edge of the seat excitement that it causes gives me a rush of adrenaline.
What are your top three favourite thriller movies?
I have so many thriller movies that I would class as my favourites, however, the thriller movies I will watch over and over again would be now you see me, pay the ghost and also girl on the train.
What is your favourite thriller subgenre?
My favourite thriller subgenre would have to be mysterious thriller, this is because of the tension that is caused whilst watching, and also the enigmas that are created, keeping the audience attached to the screen.
When you watch thrillers where are you usually?
I usually watch thriller films with friends at the cinema or even at each other’s houses, this is because I like to discuss all of the questions that are created within my mind whilst watching.
How often do you watch thriller films?
I watch thriller films all the time especially in holidays and when I am not at school, however, whilst studying I think I watch thriller films about 3 times a week, so I almost know every thriller film there is.
Between ‘gone girl’ and ‘seven’ what do you prefer?
I think I would have to say my favourite film would have to be seven, this is because of the mystery that it causes, and also the strange aspect of the film that is so different from most other films adding to its mystery and strangeness.

Here are some of the production logo ideas for my thriller opening...

  

This is the first production logo that myself and my group hand drew as an initial idea. We have decided to call our production company REL as it is short and catchy and therefore easy to remember. Its also not specific to any genre allowing the company to choose any genre they want. This logo links all of our initials together in order to add in an element of each member of the group. In this basic sketch little colour has been used as I think it should be kept simple so that it can easily be recognized. 



Similarly again we decided to keep the second production logo simple, however, overlapping the REL with production makes it slightly more interesting. I think that this is the production logo that we are going to choose. I think that we would use after effects so that we can create animations and make it more interesting. If I was to use colour we would use simple colours in order to enable it to relate closely to all genres. 

Overall in all of our initial production logo examples we have kept it simple, while using bold typography to make sure that it is still able to stand out.
