Here are some of the existing production logo's I have looked at in order to give myself some ideas in relation to my own production logo.
Here is the production logo for the company Gracie films, this is a relitivly large production company that is well known for the production of many films and is based in California. They have kept the logo for their company simple allowing it to apeal to a large target audience. The contrasting black, blue and white grabs the audiences attention as well as makes it memorable. Gracie films is most probably most recognisable for the production of The Simpsons allowing the contrast to have an effect on the audience.
Paramount pictures is another large production company based in Hollywood and is considered one of the big six creating the huge all time favorite Titanic. This production logo also is very simple however, uses much more colour than the previous example. The colour of this logo is unusual, as most production company logo's use very little colour meaning that this one is able to stand out to the audiences and therefore also be very memorable. The mountains represent how high up the company can be seen in terms of money and fame as it is very well known.
Handmade films is a much smaller British production company known for creating films such as Monty pythons life of brain, once again this production company is very simple allowing it to be easy to remember and also noticable. The simplicity of the logo fits in with the fact it is a much smaller production company that isnt quite as well known as it isnt large and very known across the world.
The last production company Universal, is another company based in America that is also considered to be one of the big six. Universal is known for the creation of many kids films for example the recent secret life of pets, and also other films for example the girl on the train. The world within the logo could be seen as a representation of the fact that this production company produces films worldwide while the background colours grabs your attention ans is very easily recongised by many individuals.
