Treatment for our short thriller opening:
A first person view of a girl struggling to pull herself up from a dirty and damp floor. At this point the only thing that should be heard is her heavy breathing/panting to symbolise that she has been running, as well as to break the silence that surrounds her. Slowly the girl begins to move closer towards her goal. The next shot should then be a close up of her hand clenching a pair of bloody scissors. Mysterious music will then slowly begin to build as her speed inscreases. The shot then jumps to a movig close up that gradually moves upwards from the girls feet to her neck however not yet revealing her face. She is wearing ripped dirty pyjamas. Next there will be a high angle shot of the quiet dark street. You see the girl sprinting with determination down the road. She then stops to catch her breath and the music returns to an unnerving silence. A first person view is once again used as she looks behind her to see if the threat is gone. At this point the music begins to build again. As she turns back around the shot moves to a long shot as the camera slowly approaches her in order to enable the audience to see her bloody and bruised face, however, she still doesnt make any eye contact with the camera. Once the building music has reached its peak the girl looks at the camera with determination before she begins runing again. This shot is following behind her, she runs out into a road, the music stops as a car horn is heard and a medium shot of her turning to face the approaching car is seen. A close up of the bloody scissors that we previously saw is then shown as they fall to the floor, there will be minimal sound at this point other than sound affects as they hit the floor (this will happen in slow motion). As the scissors hit the floor the screen will go black and all that will be heard will be the car skidding as it leaves. Words will then appear on screen reading "two days ago".
